Pakistan will play Kuwait in the opening match of the 21st Asian Junior’s Squash Championship, which will be held at the Indian Squash Academy in Chennai, India, on March 8, 2023. In Pool A, Pakistan’s team will compete against Hong Kong, Korea, Sri Lanka, and Kuwait, whereas in Pool B, India, Malaysia, Japan, Singapore, and Chinese Taipei will compete against the host nation. In order to compete in the junior squash match, Pakistan will depart Islamabad on February 7 with Noor Zaman Khan, Mohammad Hamza Khan, Mohammad Ashab Irfan, and Anas Ali Shah. The morning and evening sessions of the tournament on February 8 will feature Pakistan taking on Kuwait and Sri Lanka, respectively. At the Team event Squash Championship on February 9, the Green Shirts will face Korea and Hong Kong.
According to National Coach Fahim Gul:
“Our team is in good shape and well trained, and we’re going to defend our title, which was won by Pakistan in 2020 in the final against India. At the Mushaf Squash Complex Islamabad, we trained the boys and all four were in good shape. During the camp, all facilities met international standards.”
