All Pakistan Bank of Khyber Women’s Senior Squash Championship organized by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Squash Association started yesterday at Qamar Zaman Squash Complex in Peshawar Sports Complex.
The Provincial Secretary of Higher Education and President of the Provincial Squash Association inaugurated the championship. Dawood Khan was accompanied by the Chief Financial Officer of Bank of Khyber Irfan Saleem Awan, Squash Legend Qamar Zaman, Vice President Ehsanullah, Chief Organizer & Senior Directorate Coach Mr. Munawar Zaman, Mr. Tahir Iqbal, Mr. Mohammad Waseem Cheiff Referee Mr. Adil Faqir Associate Secretary Sajjad Khalil, Mohibullah Khan, Associate Secretary Mr. Fazal Khalil, Mr. Sher Bahadur, Finance Secretary Mr. Wazir Mohammad. Media Manager Bank of Khyber Hasan Tariq, Coach Zadil Faqir, and other personalities was present.
The best 32 players from all over the country are participating in the four-day championship in which Pak Army, WAPDA, SNGPL, ZTBL, Punjab, and Sindh are participating. And KP teams are included. Among the top rank players participating in the competition are Noorul Ain, Maryam Malik, Komal Khan, Noor Al Huda, Mehwish Ali, Roshana Mahboob, Kainat Aamir, Umm Kulsoom, Amna Malik, Hira Aqeel, Sana Bahaduri, Zahra. Abdullah, Manahl Aqeel, Hafsa Yusuf, Mayra Hussain, Naheed Faiz, Wajiha Altaf, Nimra Aqeel, Aisha Shahbaz, Maleeha Shah, Bushra Shahbaz, Sara Noor, Nashia Shahid, and Mashal Khan are included.
In the exhibition match held yesterday, Sana Bahadur of the Pakistan Army won against Roshana Mahboob of ZTBL. Secretary Higher Education Dawood Khan. Paying tribute to the sponsor Bank of Khyber, he said that the bank has always played its role in the promotion and development of sports.
